Chronicle: Old Beginnings

 
This chronicle is designed to be a fresh start for everyone, forgetting everything we've experienced in prior games. No more older characters, even in reference, no more strange oddities. A brand new start in the old system for everyone where we can all enjoy new characters and new concepts.
 

 

The Game setting is that of the Camarilla, after Clan Gangrel's defection and following the joining of Clan Assamite. The City of Escondido is a small, recently formed Domain just above Prince Tara of San Diego. Threatened by the gangs of Anarches to the North under Jeremy McNeil of Los Angeles and Tara's imperialistic Domain to the South, the Escondido Prinicipality struggles to maintain its autonomy. The Anarchs resent the oppressive presence the Camarilla represents and pressure the pillars to crumble. Many fight politically, hiding behind the Safety the Convention of Thornes presents, others are little more than rebels and actively seek to bully or sabotage the domain into failure.

Meanwhile to the South, Tara's eyes remain vigilant to the threat posed by the ravenous fanatical monstrosities of the Sword of Caine, thankfully so as she would quickly destroy any pitiful rival territory if considered a threat to her power. As a result, the Kindred of North County remain a small, often considered backwater Domain, hardly worthy of notice until now. A new power, a Prince has taken hold, protecting and enforcing the Traditions of the Camarilla from the shadows. Seneschal Tyrone Marks carries forth His Majesty's will to the Kindred yet has never seen fit to enforce his Laws as those who defy His Emminence's decree seem to disappear. The Anarches that once held this territory have had their hold broken, their presence chased away or allowed to linger, decaying in the gutter as an example to others. Kindred of all types now flock to the domain, eager to the promise of power offered by so young and ripe a territory.

Clan Ventrue, the Bluebloods and Kings of old step forward to lay claim to the mantles of leadership as they have always done, shepherding their brethren in the night. Yet they arrive to find challenge as the Lasombra Antitribu compete from the shadows for those same coveted positions. The Clan of the Rose, the Toreador, flit and dance elegantly from one social gathering to the next, spreading beauty and art in all its myriad forms even as they hear the rumors and whispered gossip, availing such scandals upon those in the know who stand to benefit them. The Nosferatu, skulking Sewer Rats and misshapen pariahs crawl forth from their subterranean warrens, eager to sell what secrets they have managed to piece together to those eager to learn their enemy's weaknesses. Wether on the roaring engine of heavy motorcycle or within the velvet interior of fine Cadillac and other vehicles, Clan Brujah arrive as the Rabble to represent their own interests in a state predominated by their kin. Even as they do so, the Kooks, madmen and lunatics, the shattered mirror fragments of the moon's reflection, Clan Malkavian slips and darts about in the shadows, joining the court for whatever strange and demented purpose that only the insane can comprehend. Yet even as most attempt to give wide berth to the dangerous and unpredictable lunatics, the Warlocks rise to the challenge, supporting their allies with dark arts and darker methods, and turning those same eldritch sorceries upon their foes. They see the Malkavian insight for what it is, just as they too perceive things many do not dare to look upon. From the wild lands comes the Outcasts and turncoats, Clan Gangrel returning from whatever business took them so far from the Camarilla Borders. But they return to a world that distrusts those of their blood, thus they find themselves forced to work alongside friend and foe alike to earn a place of trust and strength. Yet they are not that which is most feared in the night, as the silent Assassins, the Assamite Clan steps forth from the shadows, eager to prove their value and honor to this new sect they have joined. Finally, broken from the shackles of those who created them, the stony sentinels and monstrous rock-like kindred of the Gargoyle Clan find haven, roost and rookery within the domain, seeing this new territory as a place to put to good if not profitable use their skills as guardians and defenders of the Night's children.

Welcome to Escondido, young Neonate, let the real test begin.

If you've changed your character name and can not log in through the site, send a msg to admin.  Because of using multiple applications, I have to sync them.  I've syncronized the database so those that were not able to log into the site through the portal should be able to do so now.

 An MP3 Player has been added for registered users.  So far, only the V:tM Succubus Club soundtrack has been added.

 Any suggestions for the webpage are welcome, just send a PM to the Admin and I'll see what I can do about it to accomidate you all. :)
